The Sailteck SK02 Race Compass is one of the most advanced GPS compasses available. It provides powerful data, is designed for speed, and built for clarity.

  • Speed, Heading, Heel, Trim, Line Distance
  • Countdown and Time-of-day (GPS atomic time)
  • 300 hours of storage for export and race replay
  • Solar powered with 200 hours of battery storage

Two-Line Display

With the two-line display, there is no need to compromise. Before the start, be on time and be at the favoured end with the countdown and heading in view. After the start, play the shifts upwind and downwind with the tactical display and heading in view.

Shockproof

Sailteck's electronics are fully encapsulated inside the plastic housing and mounted on rubber shock absorbers. There is no exposed glass. The construction provides triple shock protection: first the bezel, then the inner plastics, and finally the rubber mounts.

Waterproof

Sailteck's proven design is totally waterproof. With a single seal, Sailteck has no weak links and is unique amongst alternatives in being continuously submersible to 20m. Sailteck also floats.

Line Distance

For classes in which line pinging is permitted, the world's most accurate line distance system offers a significant competitive advantage. It's easy to use and useful for training in all classes. This feature can be disabled by switching to the grey keypad.

Pinpoint GPS Precision

Sailteck's receiver works with over 30 satellites from four independent constellations. Unlike other receivers that use a small, thin antenna to fit into their housing, Sailteck uses a large sky-facing patch antenna for far greater sensitivity. This reduces the risk of dropouts or sudden loss of precision, providing superior accuracy and positioning reliability.

Two Keypads for Adjustable Class Legality

The GPS compass is supplied with two keypads, red and grey. Simply swap the keypads to comply with class rules. For classes that allow GPS while racing, the red keypad provides full functionality, including the display of speed and line distance.

For other classes, the grey keypad provides the same functionality as the universally class-legal Race Compass, whilst enabling GPS track logging, track sharing, and committee race management.

Changing the keypads takes only a moment and doesn't affect the water integrity, as the keypad sits outside the seal.
